Is breastfeeding really always “best,” or are we overhyping it?
I see a lot of posts-and honestly, a lot of pressure-saying breastfeeding is the gold standard and “fed is best” is just a consolation prize. But I keep seeing friends struggle, feeling guilty, and beating themselves up about not being able to exclusively breastfeed. For all the talk about health benefits, is the science really that clear-cut? Are we overstating the differences, especially in developed countries with access to safe formula?
I’m genuinely curious about people’s experiences and any solid research. Did anyone feel pressured into breastfeeding only to realize it wasn’t the right fit? Do you think we should challenge this “best” narrative for new moms, or is it really that superior?
