I just stumbled on this incredible resource and wanted to share and also ask for advice! I recently learned that some local libraries actually have social workers on staff who help connect people with things like emergency housing, rental assistance programs, and even childcare resources. Has anyone here actually used their library in this way?
Also, for other single parents out there-where have you found the most helpful housing support (outside of the big national agencies that always seem backed up or have long waitlists)? Are there lesser-known local programs, groups, or even apps that have worked for you? I’m trying to piece things together and would love to hear real experiences, tips, or even just places to start looking that might not be obvious!
Thanks in advance, I’m feeling hopeful for the first time in a while!
