I’ve been part of this parenting forum for a while now, and I’ve noticed we tend to recommend baby lotion as a go-to for any skin-related issues with babies. But I’m curious-do we ever stop to question if this is the best or only solution?
There’s a growing amount of information about the potential effects of various chemicals and additives in skincare products, even those labeled as “natural” or “organic.” Yet, most of us seem to apply lotions to our babies’ sensitive skin almost by default.
Are there parents here who have chosen alternatives to traditional baby lotions? Maybe homemade remedies or practices from other cultures that might be effective? Have you noticed any difference-good or bad? Or, does anyone have insights into how these products are regulated and whether we should be more critical of what we’re using on our little ones?
I’m not trying to stir the pot, but we owe it to our kids to ask these questions, right? What do you all think?
