Football hold made breastfeeding feeds smoother

Feeds went smoother once we switched to the football hold for nursing. I tried it after the usual way left her squirming and pulling off, and now she stays on longer without fussing as much. The way her body tucks against my arm seems to make all the difference.

The football hold really does change how steady they feel tucked in like that. A small rolled towel under the wrist can keep the angle just right without straining.

Haven’t tried the rolled towel under the wrist yet. The tucking against my arm already seems to hold her steady enough through most of the feed.
