That snap must’ve been scary with beads flying everywhere and your kiddo already upset. Those necklaces do break more often than people admit, so if you’re rethinking them I’d check out the solid silicone versions that don’t have separate beads at all. A chilled washcloth works in the meantime if you want something simple without the risk.
