My son’s random wish for a “built-in buddy” during our usual after-dinner playtime caught me off guard and has me rethinking the one-and-done path we felt settled on. Our evenings stay so easy and connected right now, yet that little comment keeps replaying and mixing everything up. Not sure how much weight to give a three-year-old’s idea versus what actually feels right for us long-term.
